President-elect Donald Trump has tapped K.T. McFarland, a Fox News analyst, to be his deputy national security adviser, a transition aide confirmed to multiple sources on Friday. McFarland served in the Reagan administration before unsuccessfully running for the U.S. Senate in New York in 2006. She will be working alongside Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, who was announced as Trump’s national security adviser pick last week. A source cited by Bloomberg said McFarland had already accepted the position and an announcement was due to be made later Friday.
