House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi won another term as her party’s leader in the lower chamber, fending off a long-shot challenge from Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan. House Democrats voted for Pelosi by 134 to 63 margin. Pelosi, a former speaker of the House, was never thought to be on thin ice even though a host of Democrats signaled they were ready for a change after their party failed to re-take the House and Senate. Ryan argued that Democrats needed to hold their current leadership, including Pelosi, accountable for consecutive poor election cycles. “Let’s get to work,” Pelosi tweeted on Wednesday morning after winning re-election.
