A federal judge on Monday rejected Jill Stein’s bid to recount ballots in the state of Pennsylvania. U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond issued a 31-page decision, citing six specific reasons to reject the Green Party lawsuit. The bid was opposed by the state’s Republican Party, the state’s attorney general’s office, and President-elect Donald Trump. Diamond said hacking suspicions cited by Stein were borderline “irrational” and said granting the bid would “ensure that no Pennsylvania vote counts.” He added, “Most importantly, there is no credible evidence that any ‘hack’ occurred, and compelling evidence that Pennsylvania's voting system was not in any way compromised.” Trump beat Hillary Clinton by approximately 44,000 votes in Pennsylvania.
