The man who shot and killed former NFL star Will Smith was found guilty of manslaughter late Sunday night. The New Orleans jury voted 10-2 to convict 29-year-old Cardell Hayes. The tow-truck driver faces as much as 40 years in prison for the April shooting, which followed a traffic dispute. Hayes claimed that Smith shot at him first, but the jury rejected his argument of self-defense. Smith, a retired defensive end, was 34.
