An Sunwing Airlines pilot was arrested in Canada after he passed out drunk in the cockpit of a Boeing 737 before it was set to fly from Canada to Mexico. The pilot, Miroslav Gronych, was found slumped over in his seat in the airliner in Calgary, said police Sgt. Paul Stacey. Gate crew and crewmembers all reported 37-year-old Gronych acting strangely before he boarded the plane on Saturday. He was escorted from the plane and charged with controlling an aircraft while impaired and with having a blood-alcohol level above .08. The plane eventually took off with another pilot to replace him. The airline called the incident "a very unfortunate matter."
