U.S. officials say American intelligence agencies intercepted communications in the days after the Nov. 8 presidential election in which senior officials in the Russian government celebrated Donald Trump’s Electoral College victory. The celebration gave credence to the determination that a cybercampaign was waged at least in part to assist in Trump’s favor. The agencies’ classified report, which officials said is more than 50 pages, was delivered to President Obama on Thursday and will be presented to Trump on Friday. Among its other findings, it alleges there were Russian “actors” involved in delivering stolen Democratic National Committee emails to WikiLeaks and that there were different levels of effort by Russians involved in hacking Republican and Democratic party computer networks.
