An Orange County, Florida deputy was killed on Monday in a traffic accident while involved in the manhunt for the man who allegedly killed an Orlando police officer just hours before. The deputy was on a motorcycle while pursuing Markeith Loyd, 41, who is suspected in the death of Master Sgt. Debra Clayton, who was shot and killed near a Walmart, said Sheriff Jerry Demings. In a Twitter post, Orlando police said Monday's shooting happened about 7 a.m. "One of our own was taken in the line of duty. There are no words." Loyd is still on the run, according to police. Several area schools are in lockdown, and the manhunt continues. The exact circumstances surrounding the deputy's death are not yet clear.
