Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton revealed on Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The revelation came the morning after Dayton collapsed while giving his State of the State speech in St. Paul. Dayton, 69, “briefly fainted after speaking for about 40 minutes,” his chief of staff said in a statement Monday evening. Dayton told reporters that he found out about the diagnosis last week, and that “I think I am” up for finishing his term. “I don’t expect it to…impede my responsibilities,” he said, adding that the diagnosis was “grim, but it is what it is.”
