United CEO Oscar Munoz pledged on Tuesday afternoon to make sure a wide-ranging review of its company policies took place, after video of a passenger getting dragged off a full flight on Sunday went viral. United released three statements on the issue in just two days, initially saying it was reaching out to the man to “resolve this situation,” then describing him as “disruptive and belligerent.” The elderly doctor, whose face was bloodied, can be seen on video at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport being dragged by security officials through the aisle as he remains passive. “No one should ever be mistreated this way,” said Munoz, in his third statement. The passenger on Tuesday was identified as a 69-year-old physician named David Dao.
