Sandra Lee will undergo a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in March, reports People magazine. The 48-year-old celebrity chef, who is also the longtime girlfriend of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, found out about the diagnosis, ductal carcinoma in situ, during a routine mammogram. “Life can turn on a dime,” she says. The prognosis for her cancer is good, and Lee chose the double mastectomy in order to avoid radiation.
