The Chicago Cubs are due to pay the city of Chicago $388,000 for clean-up efforts and repairs after the team’s massive victory rally in the streets in early November. An estimated 5 million people attended the rally in Grant Park after the team’s World Series win, leaving a huge mess in their wake. The Chicago Park District says the money will be used to clear away trash, mend fences and replace sod in Hutchinson Field, where the millions of Cubs fans celebrated the epic World Series win. The repairs are expected to be completed this fall.
