Bill Clinton's surprise visit to North Korea Tuesday is well under way, and the former president has already had a "wide-ranging" discussion with Kim Jong Il, the leader of the reclusive and oppressive nation. The details of the discussions have not been revealed, though it is certain the release of the two imprisoned American journalists tops the agenda. North Korea's state-run news agency reported that Clinton conveyed a message on behalf of Barack Obama, and that Kim Jong Il expressed his thanks before initiating a conversation regarding "matters of common concern." White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the administration will not comment on Clinton's "private mission" while the former president is in Pyongyang because "we do not want to jeopardize the success of [the] mission."
