While Donald Trump faces growing criticism over sexual assault claims and lewd remarks caught on tape, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton says she’s not pleased with “what is happening” with her opponent. While visiting a campaign field office in Seattle on Friday, Clinton said she’d prefer for voters to be focusing on positive messages about America rather than the firestorm surrounding Trump, according to the Associated Press. “This election is incredibly painful. I take absolutely no satisfaction in what is happening on the other side with my opponent,” she said. The growing scandal over Trump’s actions “hurts our country, it hurts our democracy, it sends terrible messages to so many people here at home and around the world,” she said. She went on to say that many foreign leaders had expressed alarm to her over Trump’s praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin and malignment of Muslims. “So make no mistake, we do have to repair the damage which he has done, which we will do. But on both domestic and national security grounds, repudiating his candidacy sends exactly the right message,” she said.
