Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has been charged with one count of misdemeanor battery in connection with an incident last month in Las Vegas. Griffin is accused of squeezing the hand and shoulder and/or slapping one Daniel Schuman, 39, in the face. The altercation on Oct. 19 involved the use of a camera at Tao nightclub in the Venetian resort, Las Vegas Police said. Schuman told the Los Angeles Times he had been instructed not to speak about the incident until he meets with an attorney. A Clippers spokesman declined to comment. In Nevada, misdemeanor battery penalties range from six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine to community service.
