According to a new U.S. Marine Corps study, the integration of women into combat units has had no effect on morale, despite longstanding concerns the move would cause tension. The study, prompted by President Obama’s call to integrate women into combat roles by 2016, surveyed 400 Marines and discovered no increased levels of sexual assault, with morale reportedly equal to that of all-male units and even higher than the non-combat integrated groups.
