Columbia University suspended all activities at three fraternities Wednesday night following a massive drug bust earlier in the week. The suspension prohibits all activities at the houses, including recruitment, initiation, and social events, pending further review—but the charters for all three fraternities remained intact. The fraternities Alpha Epsilon Pi, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Psi Upsilon counted three of the arrested students as members, and one suspect, Adam Klein, lived in the Psi Upsilon house. All five suspects pleaded not guilty to peddling $11,000 worth of Ecstasy, LSD, marijuana, and other drugs to undercover police officers in an NYPD sting operation. Klein and Christopher Cole, 20, were both freed on bail Thursday.
