Former Secretaries of State Condoleezza Rice and Madeleine Albright criticized President Donald Trump over his controversial executive order that temporarily bans foreign nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries from entry into the United States. At the Watermark Conference for Women in San Jose, California, Rice, who served in the George W. Bush administration, said the executive order was “ill-considered and badly delivered.” She added that it goes against American values to ban people due to their religion or national origin. Albright said the directive was a “gift” to ISIS and that the administration was “unprepared.”
