St. Louis police officers fired on protesters holding a mock trial of Darren Wilson. The protesters started at the city’s Old Courthouse and moved to City Hall. The crowd chanted that Wilson was “guilty as sin.” About 50 police in riot gear advanced on protesters when some tried to enter the building. Police say three protesters were arrested on failure to disperse, and one of them was charged with misdemeanor assault of an officer. Protest organizers say they were marching peacefully and lawfully. Kayla Reed, one of the organizers, said it “is completely against the rules of engagement” for police to force them off public property.
