An Oregon rancher stopped a bike thief in a Wal-Mart parking lot by jumping on his horse and lassoing him on Friday. The 28-year-old rancher, identified as Robert Borba, sprang into action when a woman screamed that her bike was being stolen, jumping on his horse, tossing a rope around the thief’s legs, and dropping him to the ground. Police confirmed the incident and said when officers arrived at the scene the suspected bike thief was tied up on the ground. This is the first time they’d seen a suspect lassoed, they said.
