Rescuers are back at work on the Costa Concordia wreck, but authorities are debating whether to call them off and begin the salvage operation. Almost a week after the crash, hope is beginning to fade of finding any of the two dozen missing still alive. At least 11 people have been confirmed dead. Officially switching the operation would allow salvage experts to begin pumping the 2,300 tons of fuel out of the ship in an attempt to avert an environmental catastrophe. In the meantime, rescuers will continue blasting holes in the side of the ship as they search for survivors.
