The defending champion Chicago Cubs will advance to the National League Championship Series on Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers after besting the Washington Nationals in a game that went into the early hours of Friday morning. In a 9-8 victory, the Cubs stunned themselves. “It was Bizarro World,’’ said Cubs Manager Joe Maddon. “There’s no question about it. That’s one of the most incredible victories I’ve ever been part of.’’ Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks added, “I’m going to have to go back and watch it again, I think. I blacked out for most of it.’’
