Gov. John Hickenlooper of Colorado is now one of the few swing-state Democrats who can smile Wednesday. With 93 percent of votes counted, Hickenlooper is been projected to hold on to his office. Last night, Colorado voted out its incumbent Democratic senator, Mark Udall. In addition, Republicans won or held on to several governorships, including in reliably blue Massachusetts and Maryland. Colorado’s secretary of state warned that there is a chance of a recount for Hickenlooper, which is automatically triggered if the top two candidates’ totals are separated by 0.5 percent or less.
