Disney CEO Bob Iger announced Thursday that he is stepping down from a White House advisory council after President Trump announced earlier in the day that he plans to pull the country out of the Paris climate accord. “As a matter of principle, I’ve resigned from the President’s Council over the #ParisAgreement withdrawal,” Iger tweeted.
Iger's announcement came just a few hours after Elon Musk announced that he was resigning from the council. The council, officially called the President’s Strategic and Policy Forum, also includes Mary Barra of General Motors and Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase.
