Jimmy Fallon helped give the world a new perspective on Donald Trump Tuesday night when he showed us what happens when the candidate goes back to his childhood home. Lying in a bed that looked strangely familiar, Fallon-as-Trump woke up from a bad dream, calling for his father.
Enter Bob Saget as Danny Tanner. One by one, cast members from Fuller House — the Full House reboot that premieres on Netflix next week — came into the room to console Trump, who took on Michelle Tanner’s role in the family.
There was Dave Coulier as Uncle Joey and John Stamos as Uncle Jesse. If that wasn’t enough, we were also treated to Lori Loughlin’s Aunt Becky, Candace Cameron-Bure’s DJ Tanner, Jodi Sweetin’s Stephanie Tanner and last but not least, Andrea Barber’s Kimmy Gibler, who promptly said hello to “Trumperino.”
The group helped console a depressed Trump who was afraid his poll numbers might be on the verge of collapse. “You guys are right, I have to stay in the race,” he said. “Otherwise a Clinton will be in the White House again. I mean, who wants to see something from the '90s come back in 2016?”
Good question, Donald.
