Donald Trump Jr. admitted on Tuesday that he “probably would have done things a little differently” when he met with a Kremlin-linked attorney last year to get dirt on Hillary Clinton. “I had been reading about scandals that people were probably underreported for a long time, so maybe it was something that had to do with one of those things,” Trump Jr. told Fox News host Sean Hannity in an interview set to air later Tuesday night. “I didn’t know if there was any credibility, I didn’t know if there was anything behind it, I can’t vouch for the information. Someone sent me an email. I can’t help what someone sends me. I read it, I responded accordingly.” Earlier Tuesday, the president’s son posted screengrabs of his emails with an intermediary for the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya. Trump Jr. described the meeting as “opposition research,” and said he did not tell his father about the meeting because “there was nothing to tell.”
