Downton Abbey’s final episode will air on Christmas Day, ITV announced Thursday. “People ask if we knew what was going to happen when we started to make the first series and the answer is that, of course we had no idea,” creator Julian Fellowes said. It will mark the end of Downton’s sixth season.
