Producer Dr. Luke and his Sony Music imprint Kemosabe Records have reportedly rescinded permission for Kesha to perform this month at the Billboard Music Awards. According to The Wrap, the singer had written approval from the label until TMZ reported she intended to use the gig to make public references to her sexual-assault claims and subsequent contractual battle with Dr. Luke. The award ceremony’s producer, Dick Clark Productions, said the label put the kibosh on her performance as soon as that report went public.
