A man serving a manslaughter sentence for killing a 14-year-old boy while driving drunk is suing his victim’s parents, since they let their son ride his bike without a helmet. David Weaving is seeking $15,000 from Matthew Kenney’s parents; the suit comes after Kenney’s parents sued Weaving for a similar amount. Weaving, who had previously been cited four times for drunk driving and is serving 10 years, alleges “great mental and emotional pain and suffering.” He hit Kenney while driving 83 mph in a 45-mph zone.
