New information obtained by Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers could "gravely undermine the credibility" of the woman who has accused him of rape, they wrote in a letter to prosecutors. It isn’t clear what that information is, but William Taylor and Ben Brafman also complained that leaks from the New York Police Department are prejudicing Strauss-Kahn’s chances for a fair trial. The woman, a maid at a luxury hotel, says the former IMF head sexually assaulted her and forced her to perform oral sex. The letter comes a day after Strauss-Kahn, who could face 25 years in prison if convicted, moved to a swank townhouse in tony Tribeca.
