Donald Trump received 270 Electoral College votes Monday, officially securing the U.S. presidency. The vote, taken across 50 state capitals, saw few deviations from expected outcomes, with only a few electors voting against their states’ popular votes. Four of Washington state’s 12 electors refused to vote for Hillary Clinton, picking former Secretary of State Colin Powell and Native American activist Faith Spotted Eagle instead of the Democratic candidate. Two of Texas’s 38 electors refused to vote for Trump, picking Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Texas Rep. Ron Paul.
