The European Parliament has approved new regulations for the increasingly popular electronic cigarettes, including a ban on advertising, graphic health warnings, and a stipulation demanding the devices be childproof. The rules would also limit the amount of nicotine to 20 milligrams per milliliter, which is roughly what cigarettes have. The move by the European Parliament will possibly set the standard for the rest of the world, as many countries including the U.S. are still grappling with how to regulate the product.
