University of Alabama-Birmingham running back Greg Bryant was declared dead Sunday after what police are calling a homicide in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was 21. Bryant was shot at around 4:45 a.m. Saturday while driving on Interstate 95 and declared brain dead Sunday afternoon, CBS News reports. The former University of Notre Dame player and passenger Maurice Grover were found shot in a car along southbound I-95. Grover sustained minor injuries, police said. Bryant left Notre Dame after one season when he was ruled academically ineligible for the 2015 season and returned to Florida, where he was working toward a comeback with the UAB Blazers.
