Formula One legend Michael Schumacher is no longer in a coma, his management team said Monday. After a December 29 ski accident in the French Alps in which he fell and hit a rock, the 45-year-old German was placed in a medically induced coma to help reduce brain swelling. Although the seven-time champion has been transferred from his hospital in Grenoble, France, his manager Sabine Kehm warned “it was clear from the start that this will be a long and hard fight for Michael.” Schumacher retired from racing in 2012.
