A new report conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration shows a surge in small drones flying dangerously close to commercial airlines as they attempt to takeoff or land. Since July 1, pilots and air-traffic controllers have reported twenty-five instances. The majority has occurred at some of the nations busiest airports, including ones in New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. Since 2012, the FAA has tried to safely integrate drones into nation airspace, as required by Congress, but safety experts worry that the often-small crafts could be sucked into an airliners jet.
