For his latest ad campaign, Christian Louboutin has hired still life photographer Peter Lippmann to shoot his classic shoes in classic settings: still life paintings. His Jennifer Lopez-like shaggy moccasin boot becomes a prop on St. Jerome’s desk, and his frisky floral heel pops out of a flowerpot. Now that one Christian in fashion (Christian Lacroix) has filed for bankruptcy, Louboutin is on the way to dominance—if only he could get rid of that pesky Christian Dior…
