FDA Approves Apple Image Scan App

One more step toward your Apple device being able to save your life: The FDA has approved an app for viewing images from MRIs, CT, PET scans, and other medical radiology methods. The FDA reviewed image quality and compared it to radiology studies to conclude that Apple devices running MIM technology produced images clear enough for medical diagnostics. (They aren't approved for reading X-rays and mammograms, though.) MIM said the technology would be useful if doctors wanted a second opinion from another professional who was away from a workstation.
