Switch to Advil? The FDA has criticized Tylenol manufacturer McNeil Healthcare LLC for a slow response to problems at a plant in Puerto Rico that caused customers to become sick from tainted pills. The recall began last month and expanded on Friday to include more than two dozen other over-the-counter products made by McNeil. It started after consumers complained of stomach problems, which were linked to the presence of a chemical called 2,4,6-tribromoanisole which resulted from the breakdown of a chemical in wood pallets used to transport and ship the drugs.
