Top-seeded Roger Federer blew past Andy Murray, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (13-11), to win his fourth Australian Open and 16th Grand Slam singles title. It looked as if Murray would break Federer midway through the third set, but Federer prevailed and prolonged the 74-year British drought at men's Grand Slams. "I can cry like Roger—it's just a shame I can't play like him," the 22-year-old Scot joked at the end of the match. Federer said he is "over the moon with winning this again," and thinks he played "some of my best tennis over the past two weeks."
