Ferguson, Missouri’s interim city manager, Pam Hylton, has resigned after just one month on the job in order to take a new job as assistant city manager in Richmond Heights. “Pam’s resignation comes as a surprise,” Ferguson Mayor James Knowles III said in a statement. “But I have no doubt that the dedicated employees of the city of Ferguson will continue to provide great service to our residents in an efficient manner” Hylton took over from former City Manager John Shaw after a U.S. Department of Justice report exposed systematic patterns of abuses by the city, forcing his resignation.
