The streets of Ferguson remained peaceful for a third night since unrest in the city broke out over the killing of unarmed teen Michael Brown. A small stream of protesters continued marching on Friday, but there were no confrontations with police. Instead, as The Associated Press reports, several protesters stopped to have one-on-one discussions with officers about Brown’s killing and the police response to previous demonstrations. But some still fear another outbreak of violence if the officer who shot Brown, Darren Wilson, gets off free. “This officer has to be indicted. I’d hate to see what happens if he isn’t. The rioting, the looting, man…” said one Ferguson resident at the memorial where Brown was killed.
