Some children received a pleasant surprise Christmas Eve when they called into a government "Santa hotline": an unexpected chat with the first lady herself, according to the White House. Yes, while President Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia soaked up the sun in Hawaii, FLOTUS stayed behind, and for forty minutes, answered calls from children who dialed into NORAD, a U.S. and Canadian military organization for aerospace and maritime defense. The organization had set up a website, on which they claimed they use satellites and other cutting-edge technology to track Santa’s sleigh, and children could log in to chart Santa's progress. “She asked me what I wanted from Santa and I told her an MP3 player and she said her daughter wants an MP3 player too,” eight-year-old Juliana-Rose Hatcher, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, told Reuters. Austin Futch, 10, from Memphis, Tennessee, even grilled the first lady on whether it’s tough to be married to the president. “No, he's a pretty good guy,” Michelle Obama told him. “I mean, it's a tough job and sometimes you want to do everything you can to help him, but it's pretty easy being married to him. He's kind of funny -- fun to hang out with.”
