Orlando Orea, the man suspected of cutting off a youth soccer coach’s ear before slashing him to death in New York City, left an apology note at his Queens home before fleeing to Mexico. The letter “basically makes a statement that he’s sorry,” says Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. Orea managed to board a flight to Mexico just hours before he was linked to the murder.
