America may already know who its president is, but Florida still doesn’t know who it elected. More than 24 hours after polls closed, election officials are still tallying votes in a handful of counties. The race in the Sunshine State is still so close that a winner may not be officially announced until sometime over the weekend. While Florida’s results won’t change the fact that President Obama has been reelected, its 29 electoral voters could close the gap in the electoral count should Mitt Romney win. As of Wednesday evening, the candidates were separated by just 49,963 votes, with Obama holding 49.87 percent and Romney 49.27 percent.
