They really love their Apple products in China. According to state news, as hundreds of tech geeks waited anxiously on line in Beijing to purchase an iPad 2, a “foreign” Apple store employee allegedly pushed and beat several people accused of jumping the line. This sparked a brawl which led to four people being injured, a glass door being shattered, and one 30-year-old man, Wang Ming, claiming to have been hit in the head with a bottle. Apple debuted their second-gen tablet, the iPad 2, in Beijing and Shanghai on Friday, and the melee-hosting store in Beijing’s Sanlitun commercial district was closed early Saturday because of the fracas, but was back open for business Sunday. “We're working hard to get the iPad 2 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible," said Carolyn Wu, a Beijing-based spokeswoman at Apple. Demand for the iPad 2 "has been amazing," she added.
