Welcome to your new workplace, Juan Williams: A former Fox News employee is suing the network for discrimination, alleging a steady stream of “racist, sexist, and extremely offensive comments.” Harmeen Jones joined Fox as a freelancer in 2005 and then full-time as a remote operator in 2007. He says that, while watching a Tea Party rally, one white colleague said “This is what happens when you mess with white people’s health care”; he says another said he wouldn’t feel comfortable with a black president and then asked him, “am I offending your blackness?”; at another time, he was told “you look like a gangster.” He said he complained to human resources and that he was then fired, being told by his boss, “We gave you a chance and you repay us by making complaints to HR? You are terminated.” Fox is also being sued for discrimination by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which alleges it improperly tried to fire reporter Catherine Herridge. Jones is seeking $5 million.
