After cleaning up at the Oscars, Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is getting another honor: the Legion d’Honneur. French President Nicolas Sarkozy personally nominated Weinstein for his contribution to the film industry. Weinstein will enter the legion, which is France’s highest distinction, at the rank of "Chevalier." Weinstein has had a number of critically acclaimed and financially successful movies, including this year’s Best Picture at the Academy Awards, The Artist, a French film about a silent-movie star. "I am honored and humbled by this recognition from President Sarkozy and the people of France,” said Weinstein of his latest honor. “All my life, I have loved and been inspired by French cinema.”
