Each spring, children from various Garden of Dreams partner organizations—all facing obstacles, whether related to illness, homelessness, poverty, foster care, or tragedy—are presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall. For one memorable evening, the children put their challenges aside to perform with talent, emotion, and passion. Garden of Dreams and MSG Entertainment, in partnership with The Phoenix Foundation, presented the annual Spring Talent Show themed "Live Your Dream!" Hosted by MSG Knicks reporter Jill Martin and Fuse host / blink-182 frontman and bassist Mark Hoppus, the evening included appearances by Whoopi Goldberg, Miguel, Darryl McDaniels , Adam Horovitz, Mike D, Matthew Modine, John Starks, Kym Hampton, Allan Houston, The World-Famous Radio City Rockettes, and Swizz Beatz. The show kicked-off with all 80 children alongside the Rockettes performing the vibrant opening act to Katy Perry's "Firework," followed by 20 performances showcasing each child's talent. This year's show included a variety of acts from singing to dancing (modern, break dancing, and ballet) to piano playing to Michael Jackson medleys. The show concluded with an inspiring finale to Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten. While the night was memorable for all, the children will remember their time on the stage as well as the journey of the entire experience—the auditions, the rehearsals and the bonds they created with one another.
