In a speech on the America's military future, Retired Marine General John Allen called on voters to chose Hillary Clinton as the country's next commander-in-chief. Allen contrasted Clinton with opponent Donald Trump, whom he said would use the military as an "instrument of torture."
"I know with her as our commander-in-chief, our international relations will not be reduced to a business transaction," Allen told the audience during the final night of the Democractic National Convention on Thursday. "I also know that our armed forces will not become an instrument of torture, and they will not be engaged in murder, or carry out other illegal activities."
