Maybe those “Miss Me Yet?” billboards in 2009 were onto something. The George W. Bush Presidential Library is set open Tuesday at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, as the former president enjoys a seven-year approval rating high. Forty-seven percent of people approve of Bush’s decisions as president, with 53 disapproving—a major improvement from his October 2008 approval rating of 23 percent. The former president told USA Today in an interview published on Monday that he doesn't feel the need to defend himself. “I did what I did and ultimately history will judge,” he said. And if you think you could do a better job than him, the library has an interactive exhibit where you can prove it—showing how you would handle the major events of his presidency, like the invasion into Iraq.
