Russell Brand and Jonah Hill are sharing the big screen yet again this weekend, but the second time may not be the charm as critics weigh in on Get Him to the Greek. Reviews are divided for the actors’ cinematic reunion since their lovable turn in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, both of which come from comedic producer Judd Apatow. A.O. Scott of The New York Times praises Brand, who plays protagonist Aldous Snow in the Forgetting Sarah Marshall spinoff, for emoting with "with an expressiveness that is both alarming and strangely cute." The Los Angeles Times also called the film’s frontman “seductive to watch,” adding that he “brings an unexpected authenticity to Aldous.” But the sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll-fueled romp did not win points with The Washington Post's Aaron Leitko, who faults the film as a poorly executed Apatow attempt at a coming-of-age spinoff. Leitko does admit, however, “The laughs worked well enough.”
